Project “New Life”

A unique program and opportunity for eligible young adults in Manchester, New Hampshire, to gain dynamic employability skills and work experience while being paid for nine weeks of summer 2009

  • Other key grant partners are well known organizations. Intelitek Inc, another Manchester based company is a world leader in blended technology based training systems, automation and robotics having supplied training systems and technology to over 20,000 educational organizations globally. Intelitek partners with SkillsUSA and USFirst the national youth robotics competition. Intelitek has been a manufacturer of CNC (computer numerical controlled manufacturing machines) for over 25 years.

The strongest aspect of the New Life Summer Program is in its partnerships. The grant applicant, employer of record and coordinator of this projects marshals resources that currently successfully manage and operate over $35 million in USDOL contracts, some 1,400 staff and train thousands of youth annually. Project New Life is a collaboration between OYS, Making’ It Happen Coalition, New Hampshire TeamBuilding the Manchester Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army, the Greater Manchester Chapter of the American Red Cross, the, Manchester City Parks and Recreation, SkillsUSA, Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Intelitek Inc, and the grant applicant Workforce Training Resources with Education Training Resources.

The grant partnership seeks to successfully attain the objectives of the grant, building for our 45 Manchester participants a “New Life” and creating a youth summer program model for New Hampshire communities.
